Package integrity is critical in assuring the safe transit and handling of fragile, expensive, high-quality guide systems. EDS Group's engineered thermoformed clamshells, trays and lids are analyzed during solid modeling to ensure snaps and seal integrity will survive the harshest environment and provide exceptional organization and display characteristics in the most important of locations - the operating room. Materials are selected from a small group of film processors who meet or exceed FDA-ADA regulations. Clarity of the film is monitored to assure it remains the same throughout the thermoform process. Packages are engineered to accommodate heat sealing of HDPE with supple flanges or snap fit covers. Denesters are engineered in to avoid the need for silicone coating of trays.
EDS Group's engineering takes into account the package performance testing and prior knowledge of a myriad, to allow programs where the final packaged components tested must remain as intact as a nontested package. LABWORKS allows us to monitor both the package integrity and product fragility with instrumented shock readings. The data accumulated allow us to engineer plastic formed parts for predictable rates of deflection. Our advantage is in time to market with packages engineered with deflection points, snaps that stay snapped, and lid sealing flanges sized to optimize sealed integrity.
