Thermoformed Package Shock Pulse

Above is an example of performance utilizing a thermoformed 0.030" thick copolymer Polypropylene! Key elements of the shock response reading include the pulse duration of 17 milliseconds. This pulse is representative of what may be experienced utilizing a flexible foam. We engineered the thermoformed package to not exceed 80 G's in the second drop sequence. Accelerometers were mounted on both the hard drive and interior plastic housing to provide us with critical shock information of both the fragile drive and semi rugged housing. EDS Group's capabilities in test analysis allow us to "dial in" iterations within the package shape to meet the target G response.
